About The Event

If you don't use your skills to empower thy countrymen, then they're in vain! NSS camp embarks as the grandeur of SWD. The most exciting part of this camp which makes it stand apart from all other activities is that unlike other times, students work in the village area to tackle the ground level problems. Meticulous planning of months & immense hard work put up by volunteers is the highlight of this camp. A group of approx. 50 students, every year visits a village in the periphery of Pune and takes efforts to uplift each aspect of the village. The volunteers are roughly divided into 4 major sectors of awareness, shramdaan, women empowerment & Teach For India. Volunteers stay amongst the villagers and carry out different activities under these sectors. From plantation of trees to taking seminars for women health and from spreading awareness of child education to helping those kids for personality development. This camp not only helps in the village’s upliftment but enriches each volunteer with a sea ofexperience!
